My design philosophy is deeply rooted in the following principles:
Design should not make users think. It should be simple and intuitive for them to interact with, like a smooth ride on a clear road.
Users should be involved in the design process. After all, they will be the ones using the product, not you or me. Sharing early prototypes, gathering feedback, and incorporating it into the roadmap will bring users closer to the design process.
"If you can't measure it, you can't manage it." - Peter Drucker
Data-informed design can align design and business teams by measuring and showing the impact of design. It reduces opinion-based decisions and identifies areas where further qualitative research is needed.
It also allows for design experimentation and user advocacy.
I strongly believe in the servant leadership model. As a leader, I am here to serve my team selflessly. By doing so, I can carve a path for their individual success and growth, which undoubtedly contributes to the company's overall success. I also serve my A team - peer leaders and my leadership team - to ensure alignment and the success of the product.
Situational leadership is a strong framework when it comes to people management. It requires a deep understanding of your team or peers to know when, why, and how to apply it. The results are high because it allows me to look at coaching from the individual's strengths.
